TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Description:
Capstone™ FS-61 is a
VOC-free and APEO-free,
water-
based dispersion, anionic fluorosurfactant that gives
low aqueous surface tensions only achievable with
fluorosurfactants.
Capstone™ FS-61 offers excellent wetting, leveling, anti-
block and flow control.
This environmentally friendly alternative fluorosurfactant can
be used in a variety of applications including architectural
coatings, industrial finishes, floor care formulations, wood
coatings, specialty cleaners, and metal cleaning.
Capstone™ FS-61 complies with the ecological criteria
for the potential award of the Community eco-label to
indoor and outdoor paints set in the Commission Decisions
C(2008)4452 and C(2008)4453, as active substances are not
listed in the OECD “Preliminary lists of PFOS, PFAS, PFOA,
PFCA, related compounds and chemicals that may degrade
to PFCA (as revised in 2007)” referred to in the decisions.

If you are currently buying an anionic fluorosurfacant such as
Zonyl

FS-610 or Zonyl

9361, switch now to Capstone™ FS-61.
Applications
Water-based floor finishes, waxes and polishes

Provides wetting and enhanced leveling.
Good re-wet characteristics in multi-coat applications.
Reduces cratering and provides faster spreading.
Suggested use rates are 0.005-0.02% active ingredient.
Multi-functional additive that provides anti-blocking, oil
repellency, and dirt pick up resistance.
When using it in a formulation, existing wetting,
leveling, and defoamer additives should be tuned to
minimize total surfactants for a maximum benefits
Suggested use rates are 0.02-0.03% active ingredient
in latex paints.

Especially when taking a partial sample from the

For drum size containers gentle rolling and tilting is
sufficient.
This product is perishable if frozen. Keep the product above
0°C during storage and transportation.
The viscosity of the product may increase over time due to
the zero VOC nature of this product. A viscosity increase
will not affect the product performance.
