About the Author
Jovanka Houska
was the 2013 Commonwealth Ladies Champion and is a many-time
winner of the British Women’s Championship. She has represented the English team, on top board, at numerous Chess
Olympiads, and qualified for the 2006 Women’s World Championship. In 2006
she
won the English Chess Federation Player
of the Year award,
the first time a female chess player had received this prestigious recognition.
