Five years ago I was forced to put my
miniatures to the side to pursue my
mixed media art. Then a year ago, after
being offered the editor position for
AM,
I found myself surrounded by this lovely
hobby again. Recently I started think-
ing about my approach to miniatures
before my break compared to now. In
the past it was about the thrill of the
build, creating, and selling. Although
this approach was loads of fun, looking
back I see that something very impor-
tant was missing, that being playtime!
I realized this from chatting with
contributors, reading their stories,
and following their blogs. So when
I decided to build Ophelia’s house I
promised myself that I would take time
to play with it as well. Ophelia is the
main character in my mixed media art
and she soon after appeared in many
stories, so the house is built with her
adventures in mind.
I am still building and creating, but now
I also have fun with photo shoots of my
mini dolls and decorating the house for
different seasons.
Time is hard to come by these days,
but when I do have a moment it is always
a joy to visit my miniature world! If you
would like to take a peak, you are more
then welcome to visit my blog site at

This is a busy season, so if you don’t
have time to create then hopefully you
can take a few minutes to flip through
