Introduction

This coursework is the second year of personal development on the undergraduate courses. The areas covered are personal skill development, professional development, sustainability and ethics in the built environment sector.  It requires the student to assess her/his current situation and competences and encourages forward thinking as regards career development and the production of an action plan. It requires some evidence of engagement with Professional Bodies and the key issues of the industry.

 

Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of the assignment, the student should be able to:-

The Brief

The students will produce a 5 part submission. There will be specific word-counts and page requirements for each section, which are detailed below. It is important not to exceed or be less these requirements. Evidence of reading and research is an essential component of the marking each section.

Students are required to put together a personal development proposal which can be signed off by their industrial supervisor where applicable. The suggested stages are as follows:
