Kworld Mpeg TV Station
Welcome to the world of Kworld Meg TV Station. With this multimedia product, you can use it as a convenient tool for multiple purposes including video conferencing, video editing, class presentation, or even entertainment.
Intervideo WinDVR
The powerful WinDVR will allow you to save TV and Video as Mpeg1 & 2 file. And the scheduler can let you preset the recording time of your favorite TV show.
Ulead Video Studio
With the Ulead Video Studio, you can edit the captured mpeg file and save the video as VCD format.
Features

Unpack your Mpeg TV Station and make sure that all items are intact. The following items should be included in your Mpeg TV Station package:

§ Audio Line
§ Remote control and receiver line
§ FM Antenna (for FM model only)

§ CD of installation software
§ IBM PC or compatible
§ Intel Pentium III 500 MHz CPU or better processor
§ Minimum 64 MB memory
§ Minimum 100 MB hard disk space available
§ One free PCI slot and IRQ
§ VGA and with DirectDraw driver supporting Overlay Surface
§ Microsoft Windows 98SE/ME/2000/XP
§ TV antenna or cable from CATV

§ CD-ROM drive
Please follow the steps shown below to install the card into your computer:
1. Turn off all your computer power and any peripherals.
2. Select an available PCI slot and remove the slot cover, screw, etc.
3. Put the Kworld Mpeg TV Card firmly into the slot until it snaps in place and secure the card by replacing the screw you remove from step 2.
4. Plug the TV cable into the antenna adapter input of Kworld Mpeg TV Card
5. See the following illustration Picture 1 for Connectivity.

Your Mpeg TV Station package comes with complete Windows software utilities. These utilities can be found from the CD-ROM in this package. Prior to installation, it is highly recommended that all application programs should be disabled such as anti-virus software and system monitoring applications.
Note that there are two drivers required to be installed for each component.
Ø Philips Proteus (713X) WDM Video Capture
Ø Philips WDM TVTuner
Once your system is done booting, put the CD-ROM into the CD drive and Windows 98SE/ME will detect new hardware and started with the “Add New Hardware Wizard” to help you install the drivers correctly. All you have to do now is follow the steps A and B described below one by one to finish the installation.
A. The installation steps of “Philips Proteus (713X) WDM Video Capture ”
1. This is the first window you would see on the left side as you start installing the driver.
Click “Next” to continue.
2. Select the first option “Search for the best driver for your device. (Recommended)
3. Select the option “Specify a location”, (assumed the CD-ROM to be F:\) enter “F:\PCITV_713X\driver\” and then
4. The following prompt window tells the driver has been found.
5. Windows will start to copy files. Then the on-going dialog box shows that the Window has finished installing the drivers for PCI Multimedia Device shown on the left picture. Click “Finish” to end this driver installation.
B. The driver installation steps of “Philips WDM TVTuner”
1. This is the on-going window you would see after you installed the “Philips Proteus (713X) WDM Video Capture” driver. Click “Next” to continue.
2. Select the first option “Search for the best driver for your device. (Recommended)”
3. Select the option “Specify a location”, Enter F:\PCITV_713X\dirver and
click “Next” to continue.
5. Windows will start to copy files. Then the on-going dialog box shows that the Window has finished installing the driver for TV Tuner shown on the left. Click “Finish” to end up driver installation.
Once your system is done booting, put the CD-ROM into the CD drive and Windows 2000 will detect new hardware and started with the “Add New Hardware Wizard” to help you install the drivers correctly. All you have to do now is follow the steps A and B described below one by one to finish the installation:
