Welcome
After almost two years,
scores of feature cars, tech guides and
essential staff diaries, this is my final issue with
Classics Monthly.
I’ve thoroughly appreciated the support from advertisers and the
industry as a whole, but the most important people that I must
mention are you, the all-important readers. Without your
approval, it wouldn’t be possible for titles such as
CM
to continue to thrive and prosper. I’ve
been able to forge a successful career out of my hobby, and I will never forget how lucky I
am. It’s a truly privileged position, and one that I continue to cherish deeply.
Iain Wakefield will be moving over from sister title
Classic Car Buyer
to replace me, so I
wish him and Paul Wager all the very best for the future. I’m sure the mag is in safe hands.

Rumour round the office has it
that Matt jumped ship before
he was asked to single-handedly reassemble the Traveller project,
but luckily for all of us the Morris is now in the capable hands of
Charles Ware’s Morris Minor Centre, as you can see on p85.
First task is to get the wood fitted and hopefully by next month it
will be looking more like a car again. Meanwhile, the best of luck
to Matt and I wonder if he’s remembered the Triumph 2000
bonnet he’s left behind…
